a society that do not listen
You know, I was walking to school today with my new toy - a Creative MP3 player that Aa bought for me as a birthday present. I couldn't help but notice that almost everyone who were waiting at the traffic light with me this morning were all tuning in to their favourite music...Seems like we are developing very individualistic behaviours and preferances to me... But on top of that, are we also creating a society that no longer listens to our surroundings and the people around us as well? People that do not stop to smell the roses or hear the chirpings of birds in the morning no more?
Are we shutting ourselves out by stuffing a pair of earphones into our ears to block out all forms of contact/connections?
