Rented the wetsuit and weights from Go Dive and I was so glad that I've been smiling ever since...

It was a lazy start for a Sunday.. Tom came to pick me up and we went to Tom's place to get him out of his bed! Tom made us some breakie and man, it's good! Confused? Well, I did that on purpose.. but obviously there were two Toms.. Hahaha...
So anyway, we went to get the gears and boat, and drove over the bridge to Dodges Ferry. We dropped the anchor at a nearby island and geared up to get into the water. I was sitting at the side of the boat, trying to wear my BCD when suddenly, the boat rocked and I fell into the water! wahaha... And that was just the beginning for more mishaps to come!

I was not able to decend very well as I was not carrying enough weights and as I went in, the swell begin to push me closer to the slope, into the kelps and driving me up the surface. Augh!
So I tried to decend again, and this time, my tank slipped! So Tom told me to surface again. We crawled to the rocks and he helped me fix the tank and he gave me an extra weight too.
Now that that's done, as we swim out and I tried to put my fins back on, snap* my fin strap broke! SIGH... I turned to Tom and I think he can't believe my luck too. So anyway, we went ahead with the broken fin in hand, to head back for the boat.
All went pretty fine for awhile, but Tom insisted that I take one of his fin. So I did, underwater. As we cut through the kelp forest again, I lost him! It's not a big-y but hey, my day had been bad enough already... I bashed out of the kelps and waited for awhile before acending. Good thing was Tom was already in the boat. As I got up the boat, the other Tom was just coming in and he had picked up a few abalones that he was planning to save it for an up-coming party.
We had a quick meal along the way back and went to 9/11 to try some free beer, where Tom's girlfriend is working. Some of the beers really doesn't taste anything like beer at all, but it's really yummy! :-P
So, yeap, this was my first diving experinece here. All in all, it had been pretty fun and laid-back diving day, despite all the unfortunate events!
