Seems like the ENGLISH thingy... is some sorta Racist thingy or watever... doesnt sound nice to me. The school juz wans you to take their english class or smth.
Frankly... not like their english is any better. Some of them cant even spell.

yeah, tell me about it. I heard about that from alot of other guys too. But the fact still hurts. Imagine, even before you start writing your essays, you'd already have known how you'll fare - a mere pass, no matter how much afforts you have put into it... low moral.. Perhaps that is why I'm finding it even more struggling this semester as that fear of not writing well enough builts up.. Haiz.. Anyway, working hard still... Hopefully, my lecturers will see the effort beyond my sentences. :)
oh, and by the way, it's not so much of a racist thing. But rather, it's differences in expectations and styles. In Singapore, Malaysia, the emphasis is mainly in the content and not so much on your writing skills. Over here, they are expecting you to do well in both areas. Which, in a way, is good. However, I just feel that it does not do people like us who's more accustomed to a particular writing style, or poor in expressions and weak in compositions much justice, to be compared and evaluated in their rigid 'formal english' compositional modes. Even my tutor whose from Scotland hated it. LOL. It's just not fair. So I suppose my aim of getting first class honors home had been trashed. Heh. :P
sigh... life is fill with challenges... But he of above always have the last laugh I guess...
