I had a great winter break with A and his soccer team - Nova Certeza. I shall spare you the details of how the games went but you can read about them in Ben's blog. They came to Tasmania and played against the Hobart United. I was tagging along as their photographer. Good thing was I am not the only female there. Aisha who came along with her husband, was placed in charge of everything - from making breakfast to videography. We got along just fine, since we both are not so much into the ball chasing craze. As you can see from their blogs, the team is very well covered by the media back home but they were never being pressured to perform. For the
main objective was to promote peace and definately to enjoy the game! It's not everyday that a recreational team gets to travel overseas to play a couple of games, you know. A and I managed to contact Mark and lucky us, the team was able to see snow when we got to the submit of Mt Wellington. I guess it really made their trip all worthwhile as most of the team-mates have never experienced snow before. I suppose it's all written on their faces in the pictures. Next stop, was Canberra and Sydney. The game at Canberra was just crazy. The weather was so cold, the boys were playing in their long johns on. Once they've stopped playing, you can see frost
on the ground forming man! Brrrrr...Sydney was really something. The first thought that came to my mind was that it looked like London had been invaded by the chinese. No pun intended here. A brought us to the Fish Market and we ate to our hearts' content with yum yum sushimis, a lobster and oysters. After A left, Dino and I had one of the most yummy chocolate drink at the Lindt Cafe I was glad to have met Adi and Edwin. They were such wonderful hosts. We went to the Manly beach and had more chocolate drinks at Max Brenner. YUM! And both of them just keep bri
nging me to more good places to eat - from Japanese, Mongolian to Thai. I'm missing those good food already as I write about them.. mmmm ...
Unfortunately, due to all the travelling, lack of sleep and bad air condition in Sydney, my troublesome nose started to kick in after spending 3 days there. All red and bloody, but what the heck, how can I say no to good chocolate and great food! To my amazement, I could breath a whole lot better once I touched down here again! Since I'm better, and the house is totally empty, I held a little tea party with some new mates from church. It was so good that we had another round the next day :-)
To end it all, I had totally thrown away all my worries for my results and had a great time. I have eaten so many fantastic dishes and made acouple of worthy friends this holiday. Cheers to all of them!
