Believing

I always end up taking the second best option.
Always not able to get into the course that I badly want.
But I do see that God has been good to me all these years.
That throughout my entire life, though I could not get want I most wanted, but He had blessed me with many good things along the way. As least I know I have enjoyed my life thus far and am most glad to share with everyone of my numerious experiences..

So once again, I'm disappointed that I'm not able to make my way to Tasmania for UTAS - Arts & Fine Arts BA (Natural Environment & Wilderness Studies + Fine Arts Painting) something that I really really REALLY wanted to do... SIGH... It looks soooooo gooooood to be true!!! I even got a place in the course already!!! But I can't goooooo... I'm absolutely devasated... :'(

"Lord, as a child of little faith, I may not have seen the bigger picture, the perfect plan that you have for me. But Lord, I pray that day by day, you will reveal the plan to me and show me that You are there all the while. You have painstakingly mould me to what I am today, and insisted that I learn wait. Then wait I have to do... but Father, I pray that You will grant me patience and allow me to see that you have indeed a better option for me ahead... An option that can beat this one anytime! Just don't leave me hanging like my mom does... Amen..."

Money

The amount of things that you can do in your life is indirectly determinded by the amount of money that you have in your bank...

About work

Work.
Everyone needs at least one.

But what's important in a job is really a sence of satisfaction that you get from working.
A sence of belonging and a sence of your good exsistance being felt by others.
Feeling valued, and knowing that you belonged to a bigger family...
Being acknowledged for your capabilities and knowledgablities.
Being given responsibilities, and using ones creativity to make new or provide better solutions to situations...
To be quick in making decisions, and challenging oneself to get things done better.

Working as a freelance trainer, I find great joy that the time are flexible. And I'm not being bound to lifeless tables, chairs and computers which has games installed but I can't play them. *sheesh* (believe me, I've tried...)
Though working hours are crazy and money is less than peanuts, but hey, I felt fulfilled that I'm working to see that others may gain new knowledge beyond what textbooks can teach at the end of the day.
I am able to interact with tons of people of all ages all the time. Testing my patience with the younger ones, and trying my limited brain capabilities to blurt out all that I know to the "wiser" ones... Everyday is a new challange and every week we're doing something different. And even if we're doing the same activity, everytime it's a new experience...

Without demand, there will not be any jobs... Without jobs, what will we all be doing?
But I choose to believe that there is more to the word 'Job' than just getting things done. It's also about interaction and connection. It's about being willing to sacrifice time and energy to see that something is done or made better for the convience of others or for an even greater purpose of helping the world! Therefore, it's always hard to find one that truely suits an individual. But I guess I'll just have to keep searching for it..
Still, no matter what kind of jobs that we may be doing, I believe that there has got to be something that drives us from continuously doing it. Be it Passion. Money. Pride. Praise. Joy. Survival.

Never look down on the road-sweepers, for without them, hundreds of accidents may have been reported due to killer litters on the road...
Never look down on the cleaner ladies, imagine what will happen if they were to protest for a week!!!
Everyone is made to be different, everyone is built to fulfill a different purpose and to contribute to different manners...

Perhaps, I was made to be that trainer or painter that were to make a difference in your life...

Work.
Everyone should have one...

Middle Child Me

The middle or second born child or children often have the sense of not belonging. They fight to receive attention from parents and others because they feel many times they are being ignored or dubbed off as being the same as another sibling. Being in the middle a child can feel insecure. The middle child often lacks drive and looks for direction from the first born child. Sometimes a middle child feels out of place because they are not over achievers and like to go with the flow of things.

Being a middle child would mean they are loners. They really don’t like to latch on to a person in a relationship, therefore they have trouble keeping one due to lack of interest. Not liking to take the limelight for anything, they are not over achievers and just simply work enough work to get by, and typically that goes with school as well as a career. They are however very artistic and creative. If forced to use abilities they will work well, but do not work well under pressure. They often start several projects but rarely keep focused long enough to finish a project. The best career move for a middle child would be along the lines of using their creative. Going into a writing or journalism career, and into a career that they could freely express themselves would be good. Anything that would have hours that are flexible, and projects that frequently changed would be good for a middle born child. Since relationships are not of high importance to a middle child, often times they are alone. However, the best possible match for a middle child would be a last born.

Taken from here: http://wvwv.essortment.com/whatismiddlec_rsoe.htm

Dr Kevin Leman
In his book on the New Birth Order, he talks about how the order of your family and your parent's order in their family will affect the upbringing of an individual.
As He himself is a last child, he talked more about the last and since the most distinct character among the three is the first, almost all of the book is about them... Of cos there's the special only childs as well...
But, I must say that I was disappointed to learn that only a fingertip of pages are used to talk about the middle child, just like in real life, where the middle child is always neglected and unnoticed...

You might be wondering why am I writing about middle childs, well, course all the bad feelings that I have right now are all that a typical middle would feel. Neglected, dejected, un-noticed, unimportant and somewhat outcast... Me being in the middle, I always feel that I'm the odd one out. I'm always the troublemaker (but am I?) and being the most demanding...

But COME ON, I know what I want. And I know that I am different. In fact, I'm a complete opposite to my elder sibling. And my younger sibling, he's rated as Royalty, since he's the youngest and the only son in our Asian family. So my elder siblings the guinea pig while the "King" takes the safe and tested route to success... Me? left to survive on my own...

... Somehow life is never fair...

About Tim

Tim is actually my Nokia 6100 mobile phone...
He has become very much of my daily life that I have decided to give it a name... And yes, a gender...
As our society advance so drastically, the mobile phone has become our closest friend.
With him reminding me of every single friend's birthdays, waking my up in the morning without fail, and making sure that I am contactable no matter which part of the island I am at!
Really have to thank him for working so hard.

Tim's life with me had been the most adventerious, and I bet that if he ever be dumped in the bin with other mobile phones, they'll know that they have live their life blissfully!

Tim was only my 2nd mobile that I paid 50% for - (yes I'm peniless and my mom is a shark!)
A phone that I have to wait for 6 months in order to buy.
Sooner than he knows, he's been going places - From the Land, to the sea... even into planes! Cambodia, China, Malaysia, Singapore...

Little did he know that one day he'll be caught in a syndicate crime.
So yes, he was there, together with another 100 odd other mobile phones for about a week before the good guys in blue managed to save him from the clutches of EVIL!
But unfortunately, the story didn't end there...
As he was labelled with the sticker as "evident A", he's got to squat in the cabinet quarter with some other phones retreived from the suspects till the case is offically closed. No visitors allowed.

Finally, after 3months, Tim was back with the not-so-kind owner again...

And most recently, I have accidentally dropped it in the bus! I'd thought that he'll be gone for good this time..
But hey, he's a tough guy and pretty street smart... I got him back at the bus interchange the very next day!
Thanks to Mr Wang and Mr Ang at the interchange... :D

What will I do without Tim?
Will I ever upgrade to another phone after all that we've been through? I don't really want to know...

Life is not a rehersal
We live only once
It is not by chance nor coincidence
It's predestined that we meet
Therefore I will tresure you alot ...

Rainbows of Live!

This is my very first entry in my latest Journal - Rainbows of Live!
If you're wondering why it's called that, well...
'Course I believe that live should be colourful and constantly reminded that it's short-lived.
So live life to the fullest and make it meaningfully enriching even to the people around you.

May this Journal serve as a reminder for my own life, and at the same time, be an inspiration to others!

Happy Reading!

On the Road ....
