connect-i-n-g

Hi all... As you would have seen in my previous post - My new place is pretty spacious and nice. The best part is that it is right in the middle of the two campuses that I have to go to, PLUS, it's very close to the shops.
BUT - unfortunately, I can't get the phone line connected. I tried. Went to the shop twice only to learn that the phone line in my place is shared with my neighbour! As you can see in the picture, my place is the left side half of the house (semi-detatch?). AUGH... No phone line means no internet...
This will take awhile to sort out. If I want a line on my side of the house, I might have to pay for the telephone company to come in and re-do the wires. IT'S BLOODY EXPENSIVE (AUS$200+)! So, I am hoping that I can catch my landlord and sound him out. If he's willing to pay, then good. If not... SIGH, I don't know if I wanna continue staying there or make do... No more internet calls, no more web conferences, no more youtube... More time will be spent travelling to and fro schools in order to do online searches, reply emails and no downloads... It might not be all that bad, but it sure does makes me annoyed.

home
Sorry that it took so long. I've officially moved into this place about a month ago, but the cleaning and unpacking is still on-going. Connecting the phone line, internet, getting rid of the scary spiders and horrible ants... trim the backyard and vacumm the carpet... the list seems never-ending. By the time I finish doing one, I have to bring the trash out already, and clean the bedsheets, and I have to vacumm the carpet again... Man.. Time flies.
The place is really nice, albeit abit old, I still love it. Situated at the mid-point of both campuses, I can walk to either one in about 25min. Not only that, now I can enjoy grocery shopping with ease. I can go home and drop my school stuff first and I no longer am fearful of not being able to catch the bus home, cause, I don't need to anymore! I can even stroll over and buy snacks at midnight! Muahahahaa... Plus, the attic can double as a guest room, or my study room... With two fire places in the house, winter should be easy to get by. Possible future BBQ in the backyard... bring-your-own-plate, cup or chair party... mmmm ... On top of all that, the landlord is super nice. God is good to me... :P

From left to right:
1. house from outside (only the left half, mind you),
2. main door
3. kitchen,
4. doors to the toilet and backyard
5. laundry cum toilet area,
6. backyard
Pictures of the bedroom, attic and living room have been omitted from this post.. Cheers.
